Uncle Lino By: Alexander Ames My Uncle Lino is so much fun. One day he brought us to an RC [ remote control ] race track up in Maine called Maximus. My Uncle showed us how to build a little car, it took four hours! He put it on the track and, ZOOM!!! It went so fast. That day had finally ended. My brother and I slept over that night. That next morning we went home and my mom & dad told us that we all are going on a Carnival cruise ship in two weeks! Fourteen days later my dad woke me up at 4:00 am to get ready for the plane trip. Then one hour later my grandparents and my Uncle Lino came to my house with a taxi. I sat with my uncle on the way to the airport. When we got there I was nervous and my tummy hurt. My uncle asked if I wanted a bagel and I said “ sure “. So he gave me half of his. We were finally on our way to where the ship is floating, PUERTO RICO!!!!!! While we are sailing on the ship I had so much fun with my uncle. We ate breakfast and dinner together. The last day of the cruise had come so fast . I did not want to go. But, we had to and went to the airport and my tummy hurt again. I stepped up onto the plane and had to sit next to my brother. At my grandmothers house we said goodbye to my grandparents and my uncle. Later I went home. I have a special photo of my Uncle Lino that is a memory of the good times on the cruise. Sadly, my Uncle Lino passed away at the age of 31 July 5 2007.
